In July, 1995, I was an Artist in Resident at The Millay Colony in Austerlitz, New York. The month long residency has inspired another spiral of thought. I see that this type of spiraling process could move to other media, video, computer generated imagery. However, primarily this focus comes from -and I feel will always incorporate - painting and drawing. The source of the books, the words and the computer are the visual images. The visual images are stemming from my paintings and a curiosity to explain them. Through my own explanation, I find further meaning and development. Although the work usually appears to be abstract, I am most often aware of the sources that contribute to each work.

As time moves into the next millennium so will we all. I am excited and intend to keep a positive focus.
